Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood
A kitchen exhaust hood, also known as a range hood, is a device installed above cooking appliances, such as stoves, ovens, cooktops, or grills, in residential and commercial kitchens. Its primary function is to remove airborne grease, smoke, heat, steam, odors, and other cooking-related pollutants from the kitchen environment.
Hood Enclosure : This is the visible part of the hood installed above the cooking appliance. It usually consists of a canopy or hood-shaped structure made of stainless steel or other durable materials.
Exhaust Fan : An exhaust fan, located inside the hood enclosure or in a remote location, creates airflow by drawing air and cooking contaminants through the hood and into the ventilation system.
Ventilation System : The ventilation system includes the exhaust fan, ductwork, and any additional components required to expel contaminated air from the kitchen to the outdoors. Some hoods may recirculate air through carbon filters before releasing it back into the kitchen.
